Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (short coat) Dog

Ginger the Dog needs a home

“FOR ALL QUESTIONS REGARDING GINGER, PLEASE CONTACT [email protected]*

Meet Ginger!! Shes a 14 month old 20lb ACD, that loves to play play play and is very energetic. But with one problem, she was born deaf.

This does not stop her shes 110% ACD and will need a home that has ACD or herding dog experience. She's super smart and loving and gives great kisses but can be mouthy If overwhelmed.

She's house broken and crate trained and walks great on a leash and even sits and waits when you stop. She knows down, sit, come (with eye contact),paw, stay, drop it and heel. She needs an owner that is willing to stay up on her training and continue to challenge her brain. Someone who is extremely patient since it can be a challenge at times to communicate clearly with a deaf dog.

Ginger is great with other dogs but can be a bit bossy to submissive ones. A home with dog savvy cats is ok but she will chase them if they run and has been known to give them too many kisses. She can be a little overwhelming to children so a home with teenagers or older would be best.

Ginger would love a home with an active understanding family. She's full of energy and needs to release that energy daily. A home with a fence would be ideal but not required if the adopter understands she must stay on a leash all the time. No apartments please she can be noisy when she’s playing with toys.

She's spayed, up to date on all her vaccines for a year and has a negative heartworm and tick test and currently on flea and heartworm prevention.

Does this little amazing red fire ball sound like a good fit for your family?

The foster home prefers that Ginger be placed no further than 4 hours from Salem, NH. For questions, please contact [email protected].
